SLIDE OUTS

 

Slide out - if you are stuck with your slide out 'out' and it will not retract you probably know there is a crank that you can use to crank it back in. What you may not know is that the switch itself controls an electric lock that locks the slide out in position. It is necessary to remove the switch from the wall and pull the front section from the back section. This disengages the electric lock. See your operator's manual. (Jack Etter) (#2, 09/03)

 

Slide out - Another way to retract the slide out is with a battery charger. In the compartment underneath the slide out you will find two heavy wire nuts with black electrical tape on them. You can remove the tape and the wire nuts and attach a battery charger to the bare wires to retract the slide out. This may or may not work depending on the nature of the problem.
